Went to the temple on Waterloo Street, the 四马路观音庙. When I first came to Singapore, this was the only temple I knew of. People told me this temple was built on the back of a dragon. On Chinese New Year eve, it is a tradition to offer incense to the Guan Yin while slowly being crushed and smoked like sardines among thousands of devotees.
