For soccer fans around the world, today is D-Day!
World Cup 2006 will kick off at midnight Singapore time, Germany vs Costa Rica. For those who think GSS is a waste of time and effort, me included, the dreadful June holiday period can be eased somewhat, by exciting football action on cable TV, and endless coverage on TV, papers, internet and magazines.
I have not been following EPL for quite sometime now, and hence my knowledge on the teams and players is less vs World Cup 2002. However, Sister S had kindly sponsored the subscription for the World Cup channels on cable TV, and I look foward to the coming matches.

U should come down here - all the mamak, pubs and kopi tiam were fully packed with grown men glued to the big flat screen TV !
Here also have lah, but have to sit with uncles and ah-sengs, taking in second hand smoke.
