There has been comparisons between Lippi and Klinsmann; the young vs old; the scientific vs traditions.

Lippi may have won this round, but I like what I saw in the new German team: ferocity, discipline, tenacity, predatory, strength and team spirit.

Klinsmann brought in new techniques and ideas to the team, and it was exciting to watch. The old, boring, defense-oriented Germany becoming a lean, mean, fighting machine. We all feel sad about their defeat to Italy, and Klinsmann may not stay on as coach. I hope the younger players will continue to mature and grow, guided by the more senior one, and KICK ITALY'S ASS the next time they meet in Euro 2008 and World Cup 2010.
