HAPPY 40TH BIRTHDAY SINGAPORE

My wish for the nation on her 40th birthday:

1) no more cruelty to animals and children

2) better legislation to control indiscriminate sales of pets, harsher penalties to acts of cruelty and to convict offenders, screening process before adoption of pets, liscensing of cats ownership, better framework to support neutering of strays, state lands to be zoned for animal shelters instead of shopping malls and condominiums, education on responsible pet ownership

2) accepting other people's ways of life, choices and religious beliefs, which may defer from the accepted norm

3) revamping of morals and civics syllabus in schools, to educate the young on piety, kindness, graciousness, having an open mind and learning to make an informed choice

4) a more compassionate, civic minded and cultured society

NB: I couldn't get a cat to post with the flag. Spencer is too fat to sit on the corridor, Mera too busy, and Hat wanted to follow me all the time.
