When I reached home at 8.30pm, I found Mayo sitting beside the bush looking tense. On closer inspection, I saw BH2 hiding in the bush, and less than one foot away. Both toms were not looking at each other but each were making threathening noises. I tried to shoo BH2 away but he refused to budge. In the mean time, Kiki was sitting at the corridor looking glum. Hat and Auntycat were the spectators.
One hour later, the two toms were still at it. I need to feed BH2 so I chased Mayo away and tried to lure BH2 to a safer location. Unfortunately he was too thick to understand my good intention and he decided to stay put. Once I left, Mayo shot into the bush again, and this time he sat right behind BH2. I don't know how BH2 could eat his dinner, but he did, with Mayo breathing down his back. Mayo looked like the more dominant and aggressive party.
I could poke at Mayo with a pole to flush him out, but he might collide with BH2 and they might roll into a ball. The last time Mera got into such a fight with BH1, his tail was almost amputated. So I left them to sort it out among themselves.
Kiki was worried about his brother, so he ate two cans and played for a while.
At 10.30pm, the two toms finally came to blows. I think it is time to neuter Mayo.
