Sister J picked Max up at 2pm today. Spencer was sleeping under the sofa cover, pretending to be a cushion, again. When Sister J poked her, she made a sound. I had gotten Max's stuffs ready the night before, and told him that he would go home before I left early today.

Sister J brought Max to the vet, as his gums are inflammed again. The last time he had it was 2 months ago, and the vet gave him a steroid injection. According to the locum vet today, the injection was supposed to last for 90 days, and that means Max's condition recurrs again, and another injection is just a short term solution. It was most likely caused by his stay at our place, which stressed him out. If Sister J travels again, Max may suffer sore gums and diarrhoea soon. The locum vet suggested TCM in the future. We will wait and see. Max was calm at the vet, meowing appropriately, to indicate his displeasure after being jabbed, and agreeing with the vet when she suggested stress may be the cause.

Max will be back again next week.

When I reached home, Spencer greeted me at the door, the first time this week. I brought Hat up to show him that Max had left. He ate his dinner and left. Spencer ate too, and was moving about in the house. I will do the laundry of the carpets and sofa cover this weekend.

It is good to see Spencer being her old self, when Max is not around. But unfortunately, she is eating a lot, again. Posted by Picasa

TCM for a cat? This is the first time I have heard something like this :)

Common in Australia but I was surprised the vet in Spore is into this too. I prefer TCM over conventional therapy, unless for infections and tumours.

TCM for pets has been practised in HK, e.g. using acupuncture on dogs. Where in Sg can one get TCM treatment for pets?
