The coach looks like a proud grandfather, and his son has delivered an golden egg or something.

It was a good match, full of happiness and exurbent energy.

It was played in Stuggart, Klinsmann's hometown.

Angela Merkel, the German Chancelor, is an avid supporter. I saw her attending most of Germany's games. When Klinsmann was criticised at the beginning for his new methods, she told the press to leave the boys alone. When Germany won over Argentina, she hugged Franz Beckenbauer.

Jan Lehmann let Oliver Kahn play his last international game, ther past differences and animosity resolved, during the GER vs ARG game. Kahn wore the captain armband one last time, and was a commanding presence between the goal posts.

After the medals were given, Podolski and Odonkor, who shed tears after their defeat to Italy, danced and laughed.

Ballack and Kahn looked at the fireworks, standing side by side, both captains of their team.

Looking forward to Euro 2008. Posted by Picasa
