Sister J told me she has been playing laser pointer with Max. Max would wait patiently every night, for the little red dot to appear, and he would pounce and chase with all his might. He still has not discovered that Sister J is the one controlling the red dot. I find his blind faith and stoicism quite unexpected of a cat. I guess these traits had helped him survive the one horrible year at the pet hotel, where he waited for his owner to appear to take him home, and she never did.

I am glad he is with us now.
