Steve Irwin, aka Crocodile Hunter, was killed this morning by a stingray, during a dive off the Queensland coast. Reports varied, that he suffered a cardiac arrest, and that his left chest was punctured. Stingrays are generally placid creatures, and we do not know what exactly happened at that time underwater.

I don't particularly like this Steve guy, as his exaggerated speech and gestures on TV makes me cringe. His on screen persona is just a caricature of an hard yakka Aussie bloke, all for show for the American market.

I am quite sorry that he died in such circumstances, and at such young age. I feel bad for his wife, children and family.
