Kindly Neighbour dropped by to give me fruits from Taiwan. She was extolling the quality of the fruits, vegetables and flowers there. She said the guava and jambu were crunchy like apples, the cabbages very sweet. Other than that, she didn't seem to have too relaxing a holiday. After this trip, she had decided to make a will, just in case both she and Uncle perish, and there is no one to take care of Miaomiao and Mimi.

She said Miaomiao ate two cans after seeing them, and complained plenty. Mimi too. I told her about the kitties during their absence, she just laughed. She also complained about Uncle's mother, and she didn't use to do that. I guess marriage is never about two persons, the whole family is involved, 日久见人心.

The custard apple is larger than the mangoes, hilarious. It is an improved breed, the skin less corrugated, and the seeds smaller. In Taiwan, they called the fruit 释迦, because the skin looks like Buddha's hairstyle. Like so.

Actually, I read it somewhere that the little cone things on Buddha's head are snails. They were protecting Buddha from the heat. *speechless*
