Dear EJ, sister W hails from KL. She is in town for some training and R&R, then they will troop back to Malaysia for Christmas.

We went to Sushi Tei at Paragon last night. Those are the only three interesting things which we had eaten. The last one was Agedashi tofu with eel and onion stew.

I don't eat raw fish as a rule, so I had good old tenzaru soba, with only two prawns and one piece of sweet potato.

Sister W had soupy soba with an egg only as accompaniment. She said that was quite enough for her.

Sister S had the salmon rolls with roes, some sushi from the sushi train, and shared the sashimi plate, supposedly a specialty from Hokkaido.

They said the fish was fabulous, I will just take their words for it.

Then we had soft shell crab hand rolls with fish floss, also a Hokkaido special. It was spicy, and sourish. It tasted so weird I only had one piece. Sister S said it was because of the tabasco sauce (!!!!!? )

The food was quite alright actually. Unfortunately, they do not have many selections from the sushi train.

Sister S was joking that the potato salad is a white plate, so it only costs $1.80. And it was a huge plate, so one could just have one as a meal.
