New stereo, to replace the old and trusty Philips, with the CD player which doesn't work. Plus the Medion does not have the obsolete cassette deck, so the whole unit is slimmer.
It was quite easy to assemble, and the sound quality is good.
Now I can play classical CD for Spencer when I am at work, and does not have to switch on the radio for the whole day.

I never thought of playing music for Zeus or Isis while I was gone, but that sounds like a fabulous idea. I bet they enjoy that!

Dear Marina, I have been doing that for some time now, but my sisters think the kitties hate the classical station. Sometimes I would tune in to the golden oldies station.
When I first came and had to stay in one room, Mom turned on a radio to classical. One morning, when I wanted her to come see me, I stepped on the radio and it got really loud and crackley, so I hid under a table. Mom came and turned it down and "tuned in" the station, and dubbed me "RCA Victor".
Dear VictorTabbycat, maybe you can think about a career in DJing? The paw pads will come in handy.
