Germany beat Sweden 2-0, to go into the quarter final, either meeting Argentina or Mexico.

The first half was fast and furious, and to think German style of soccer used to be branded as defense-oriented and boring. The young players eg Lahm, Podolski put up a good fight. Coupled with the experiences from the senior players eg Ballack, Schenider and Klose, the German Tank rolled over the the 10-men Swedes.

The second half was more sedate, and Germany sort of lost concentration for a moment. Sweden had some bad luck, things just didn't go their way, and they bowed out from the 2006 World Cup tour.

Ballack tried 16 shots at the goal, and none of them went in, as the Swedish goalkeeper was good. Ballack was chewing his lips, and screaming his head off.

Klose has become more skillful and predatory since 4 years ago. And that Podolski, looking so ferocious on the field, and off it, he looks just like a Kinder Bueno kid, with blond hair blue eyes and pink cheeks. Scary.
