Jans Lehmann had been sitting at the sideline for 8 years, before Klinsmann picked him as first choice. Of course without Klose's equaliser, Lehmann didn't even have the chance to make those saves during the penalty shoot outs. Maybe if the Argentinian goolkeeper was not injured, he might have made some brilliant saves himself.
Whatever it is, the match was won, and it is time to prepare for the next match with Italy.
And I think it is brilliant that the German Chancellor made an effort to attend most of Germany's matches; jumping and cheering like a schoolgirl, and hugging Mr and mrs Beckenbauer when the match was won.

Hi thr catwoman...i nvr like Jens Lehmann. An arrogant man but on the nite he performed superbly and a hero is born to the Germania. I nvr felt comfortable with Argentina's one goal b'cos i knw Germany will not give up and i was right! My heart goes out to Oliver Kahn...i respect that man.
