Kindly neighbour found Mera, and brought him up just before 11pm.
She was the one who said let him be, let him run away and be a wild cat. Then the more she thought about it, the worse she felt, so she went downstairs again. She found Mera at the second floor staircase landing, at the opposite block, again. She had walked past the spot many times, but she tunred when she heard cat meowing, then she saw Mera looking at her. She said Mera struggled when she carried him back, but he trotted into the house and went straight to the biscuit bowl. Then he jumped onto my bed.
She is funny like that, acting so gung-ho actually all putty inside.
Mera's jacket was half pulled off him, and it was still secured at the neck. He looked a bit confused, and tired. I guess he did struggle his way out from the leash then. Then he went walkabout and got himself all tired out so he went to that one place where he knows we would see him.
I am very relieved.
