The only part Spencer had played in the whole spring cleaning process: test sleeping the new IKEA carpet. She stepped onto it once I unfurled the carpet, and gave it her stamp of approval.

I brought Mera up later, when it rained. He also made a beeline to the carpet, much to SisterS's disgust. I tried to talk Mera into taking another carpet, an older one, but he refused.

Mera left eventually, when the rain stopped. He had eaten some biscuits, and groomed himself on the catnip mat.
