THE CAT AND THE VET

The vet thought Spencer's bald patch was due to fleas, as she might have chewed the area to stop itchiness. He looked through the fur and saw many brown particles. He thought it was ticks or fleas, and a lot of it too!

We told him it was just dirt, as Spencer's long fur traps dust easily, and we haven't been keeping up with the houseworks. The vet didn't believe, and checked the fur under the microscope some special equiment. Sure enought, it was dirt particles.

Actually the vet should have known better. Being such hypochondriac cat owners, how can we ourselves not recognise fleas infestation? And so serious a case. We had already checked the first time Spencer developed the symptoms.

Spencer has been on flea collar and Frontline Spot On for many years now. The others get the collars only, Mera and Kiki got Spot On too, as they are in the house more often.
